A customized plan ensures your important messages reach all your markets — from employees to customers.

Middlesex Hospital Alliance (MHA)

Working with the senior management team, Make Hay provides communications planning, strategy development and marketing communications for MHA. In the last year, we have worked with the MHA to develop a strong and consistent brand identity which is reinforced internally and with external stakeholders. This included a new web site - design and content - which we now maintain with onsite support.

Make Hay also produces marketing communication tools for the two sites of this organization - designing and writing a range of brochures, the staff newsletter, an annual community report, plus recruitment materials and trade show displays. Make Hay consults with senior management and the Board of Directors regarding communications strategy and issues management, for example working with the Infection control Manager to develop a Communications Plan for in-house Pandemic Planning activities. And, Make Hay Communications has expanded and refined the media relations activities at MHA, enhancing media opportunities and writing media releases, and speaking notes for Board members and senior managers.

Canadian Women's Foundation (CWF)

The Foundation's goal was to promote research work undertaken on women and economic development.

In discussion with the Foundation, Make Hay determined the specific audiences with which the Foundation wanted to communicate and the target messages. From this, a communications plan of how, and when to deliver these messages was developed. The messages that the CWF needed to communicate were threefold: it needed to promote the actual research work; it wanted to promote the unique design of the consortium of foundations and funders with which it was participating in this work; and it wanted to promote the CWF itself.

Make Hay developed a plan that included a web link to the Foundation's site, featuring PDFs of the research papers; designing and producing promotional postcards; designing and producing an information brochure; and developing a media kit and media lists for targeted delivery of information to appropriate media (in areas of policy, philanthropy, economic development, poverty and women's groups). The Foundation produced three research papers over three years, each with a similar communications approach. The work was well received by the appropriate markets and the Foundation was successful in attracting a new consortium of funding partners for future work.
